DAILY PRACTICE 

Welcome to our first collective practice

For the month of October, we will focus intently on strengthening ourselves in our roles as mothers. As mothers we are responsible for the nervous system regulation of our children (according you yogic and western science), and it is our aura which holds that relationship + any other relationship within the family structure.

When we feel strong, stable and centered, we can extend that sense of calm to our children and to our surrounding.

In this practice we will work on strengthening the nervous system through the breath + build a strong aura so that we are feeling secure in our field. The saying “if mamma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy” is very much applying, and it should be (but unfortunately not always is) the focus of the whole family to keep the mother balanced, because it is her energy which determines the energy of the family.

But it always start with us. If we can claim our space, and our peace through gentle assertion, then we can begin to create the harmony and flow that we wish for ourselves, our children and our families.

The practices we will be doing this month are based on moving us into this space, of balance and strength. The meditation is ideal as a 40 day practice (we will be doing it live on our instagram channel every day, see the schedule below), and the yoga set can also be used as a daily practice, or weekly or even just done once—that is up to you and depends on how much time you have). MEDITATION FOR BREAKING THROUGH LIMITATIONS

Remember that time when you wanted to do something and thought “well I couldn’t possibly, because x, y and z”. This meditation helps you overcome that. It is a prosperity meditation, but also one that works on our mental space and our self-esteem.

The mantra “Har” transform negative to positive, and it is a powerful sound which puts your life into rhythm. When you are in a rhythm you can create a flow. Life becomes easier and you feel limitless.

This meditation is pregnancy friendly (just don’t pull on your navel point as you chant). You don’t have to chant super loud either. When you practice it in the evening you might want to chant softly. This is totally okay, and in no way makes the meditation less effective. It can give a very subtle and sophisticated, yet efficient, quality of your powers. Sometimes we think we have to be loud in order to assert ourselves. The teaching is: if your presence doesn’t work, then nothing works.

YOGA PRACTICE TO STRENGTHEN YOUR PRESENCE

For this set we could repeat the phrase I shared above: If your presence doesn’t work, nothing works.

We communicate through our auras. When our auras are strong and stable, everyone who comes into our presence feel good and uplifted. When we don’t feel good, our auras can be like a thunderstorm to enter. Keeping a steady and stable auric field is golden for any person, but especially in motherhood we really have a responsibility to not only ourselves, but our family and children too.

The following yoga set can be done daily, maybe once a week, or whenever you feel like you need an extra boost of clarity, strength and calm.
