Sat means “Truth”. Nam means “Identity” or refers to the form of something.

WHAT IT DOES

This is one of the most widely used mantras, and is referred to as a Bij Mantra (seed mantra). Within the seed is contained all the knowledge of the Fully Grown tree. Sat refers to Truth—the reality of one’s existence. Naam means the identity. Chanting this mantra awakens the soul and gives you your destiny. This mantra balances the five elements (tattvas). Chanted from the navel, it is an immune strengthening sound current.
