ANTAR NAAD MEDITATION

  • INSTRUCTIONS

  • POSTURE: Sit in an Easy Pose, with a light neck lock. Keep the spine straight.

    MUDRA: Bring the hands into the Lotus Mudra by bringing the base of the palms to touch, and the pinkies and thumbs touching. The rest of the fingers are open, straight and do not touch.

    Move the hands in the following way: first the fingers touch in front of the navel and then they move into prayer pose, with the fingers pointing straight up. Move the hand upwards. When they get to the level of the heart start opening them into the lotus mudra. Gradually open the hands more and more. When the fingers reach the top of the head the hands are fully open in the lotus mudra.

    Then move the hands down again in the following way: flip the hands over so that the back of the hands touch, the fingers point down. Move the hands down to the navel and then begin the movement agin.

    MANTRA: Chant the sa re sa sa mantra (see next slide).

    Move then hands with the music in this way: On the first part (sa re sa sa sa re sa sa sa re sa sa sa rung) move then hands up. On the second part (har re har har har re har har har re har har har rung) move the hands down again.

    TIME: Continue for 11 minutes.
