CAT / COW

  • INSTRUCTIONS

  • On hands and knees, inhale and bring your head and sit bones up in the “cow posture”.

    Exhale and round the spine into the “cat posture” bringing the chin to the chest and the spine towards the sky.

    Your hands are underneath the shoulders and your knees are underneath the hips.

    Alternate between these two postures in a speed that feels comfortable.

    TO END: Inhale into cow posture hold briefly. Exhale into cat posture, hold the breath out. Inhale neutral spine, exhale si back onto your heels, bring your forehead to the ground, extend the arms out and ring your palms together. Take several deep breaths in this posture, also called the “gurpranam”.
