MY FALL EQUINOX YATRA TO ASSISI

EQUINOX YATRA TO ASSISI—The fall equinox (this year nestled between two eclipses) called us to go to meet once again with the magical hillside town and forrest of Assisi, Italy.

I love this place so much! Waking up above the clouds with stunning views, and quiet cobblestone streets. Ordering cappuccino d’orzo and honey croissants. Eating delicious pasta with truffles—this place never disappoints me. But the food is not the only reason for traveling all the way there.

The energetic abode of Saint Francis of Assisi can be found deep in the forrest higher up on the mountain. It is a place of tranquility, peace, love, acceptance and heart. Whenever we go there, I feel this calmness and peace infusing me, calming my nervous system, and taking away the business of my mind.

A Yatra isn’t just a sight seeing or a holiday. We go there for the energy, and to receive energetic upgrades on special beneficial days (like the equinoxes and solstices).

When I go somewhere on a yatra it is with the objective to change, to let go, to grow, to forgive, to accept, to call in, to strengthen, to learn, to receive. There’s a specific practice I will do at the place that I learned from my teacher, to meet the energy field and gain experience of it …

Places, saints and holy and elevated beings leave behind gifts for us to find, in the form of energetic fields of consciousness.

When we visit certain places where these energy fields reside, we have the opportunity to “catch” that energy.

It requires that we position ourselves well—which is why my daily practice of Kundalini Yoga, meditation and mantras is so important to me, it means that once I meet the energy field I am in a position to receive the information.

Just because you go somewhere where supposedly a spiritual person used to live or practice, doesn’t mean you automatically get an enlightened or elevated experience. We can move through these places as tourists and many do.

But if we know how to connect with these energy fields of higher consciousness, first and foremost by connecting to our own higher consciousness, then we can receive tremendous gifts, insights and upgrades when we go to such places.

I won’t be sharing my direct experiences or what unfolded for me this year in Assisi—that’s for me to still unpack, and I’m still integrating. What I do feel much stronger now than for a long time is that community and service is of the utmost importance. Do not ask what others can do for you, ask what you can do for others. This is a gemstone bejeweled key to your happiness and contentment.

PRACTICE THE MEDITATION FOR THE NEUTRAL MIND

This is to me a very precious yet simple meditation, and it is the one that I do when I go to these holy sights when I am on a yatra.

I also like to chant, and practice on my mala, at the energy seems extra amplified when I do recitations in those types of locations.

I recommend practicing this meditation often, as then you have the habit of it once you go to a place where you are trying to connect with an energy field. 5 minutes a day can give you a nice sense of calm. 31min a day can completely transform you and root you in your neutral mind’s consciousness.
