YATRA PREPERATIONS

A few suggestions, to prepare for the Yatra—especially if you plan to do the Steps of Goindwal.

JAPJI RESOURCES

Prepare for a fast Japji recitation, to complete the steps in less time.

The faster you recite, the sooner you will be done.

I recommend everyone to get their recitation time to under 12 minutes (which means you should be able to complete the steps in under 20 hours).

The recitation version (link below) is 15 minutes. If you become comfortable with this speed, you can easily find places to increase and get your time reduced.

Just try your best.

SUGGESTED PROGRAM

Recite Japji every morning and evening.

Do 11 rounds of a pauri each day (start with Mul Mantra and move through the pauris until you feel comfortable with each of them).

HAR AEROBIC KRIYA

Get in shape and build your stamina with the Har Aerobic kriya.

This is a wonderful practice that tunes your frequency and body energetically as well as physically.

We’ll be running on stairs, and I’ve done the math: there are 7056 steps to complete (whether you do the Japji version or Mul mantra version—and in that case you will have less of a break between taking the stairs)

To ensure a good experience, prepare your body as well as you can. Har Aerobic kriya is an excellent way to do it.

FISTS OF ANGER

This pranic exercise is great for expanding your lung capacity, and build stamina. The more breath capacity you have, the easier it will be to recite the Japji fast.

MORE PRACTICES TO PREPARE WITH

FROG SQUATS—Build leg strength. If you have sensitive knees, try the crow squats and don’t go too low.

AEROBIC CAPACITY—A great meditation / exercise to expand your lung capacity.

NERVOUS SYSTEM OVERHAUL—Strengthen your nervous system and get in shape.
