THE THROAT

The Fifth Chakra is how we connect to all the other chakras. It effects our surroundings, our community, and our relationships. Whatever happens in our other chakras will eventually have to pass through the Fifth Chakra. Sometimes, when we do not allow ourselves to communicate, it shows up as a Fifth Chakra imbalance, i.e. a sore throat, speech problems or other ear, throat and nose issues.

In order to build trust we must honor our truth. How we communicate our truth is at the center of our life. It is both a necessity to learn how to communicate, and how to navigate our communication. There is a real key to happiness and to living a balanced life when we are able to freely express ourselves. All sounds are connected to this chakra, and we know through this technology how sounds are the initiation of everything.

SELF PSYCHOLOGY EXERCISES

The themes of the Fifth Chakra are truthfulness, assessment and observation.

The Fifth Chakra is located in the throat area, and the gland associated with it is the thyroid gland.

Record yourself for 10 minutes talking only positively about yourself.

It is okay to “fake it until you make it”. If you blank out: chant a mantra.

Listen to the recording everyday for a week. Note down your observations, or follow the questions below:

How do I perceive my own voice? Do I cringe or feel expanded when I listen to myself? (note: it’s very normal to cringe a bit simply because we are not used to listening to ourselves. This will get better with practice)

What characteristics would I use to describe my own voice? (fx. timid, strong, powerful, weak etc.)

Is my voice convincing?

Do I believe myself? Why/why not?
