10 LESSONS I’VE LEARNED FROM HAVING A DAILY PRACTICE

It’s hard for me not to shout from the rooftops about this practice. Everyone I’ve known who has ever given kundalini yoga a serious try has experienced tremendous results—some beyond their wildest imaginations. Still, we are now in a time where information doesn’t really matter that much—it’s all about the experience—and people generally don’t like to be told what to do, or how to “fix themselves”. So I leave the choice entirely up to you.

But what I know and what was so eye opening to me is the realization that there is another way. That suffering and being negative, reactive, is in fact a choice.

See below for 10 lessons I’ve learned from having a consistent daily kundalini yoga practice for the past several years, and visit the Open Content page where I offer some complimentary classes (until we get that YouTube channel going, this is the place (+ my Instagram channel) to check back to for comp content).

10 lessons I learned from having a daily kundalini yoga practice for the past several years:

  1. Doing the same thing over and over will give you the fastest results (consistent daily practice is key).

  2. Having nervous system strength will make you better at everything.

  3. Complete clarity of mind can be achieved in minutes.

  4. You don’t have to analyze and dissect what you are subconsciously releasing—just throw away the garbage.

  5. Listening to mantras can take you very far. Listen to them constantly.

  6. Waking up in the Amrit Vela (between 3 and 6am) is confronting.

  7. Sleeping through the Amrit Vela drains your energy.

  8. Done is better than perfect.

  9. Having a daily practice does not mean you have to change your whole life (but I did).

  10. You don’t have to suffer through life. There is another way. In this sense, suffering becomes a choice (a hard truth to swallow—I know).
