MY QUICK GUIDE FOR HOW TO FIND YOUR MISSION

Spring is here, and with it comes the Spring Equinox…

The Spring Equinox is a powerful day in the year (perhaps the most important), where the energy is extra favorable for accelerating your growth and launch yourself into the reality that you want to live in (yes—it’s your choice).

If you are able to move through this portal, with clarity and vision you can expect the energy to help carry you through all until the next year’s spring equinox. It’s a wave of energy that you can catch, and ride for the rest of the year.

MOVE WITH CLARITY

In order for this to happen it is important that you align yourself with that energy + that you have a clear vision of where you want to go.

There has never been a more perfect time to find (or refine) your mission in life than right now, before this Spring Equinox window.

Now you might ask me (and several people have), How do I find my mission?

Here’s my quick guide that will answer that question for you:

  1. Finding you mission in life can seem really big, and sometimes overwhelming. Instead of asking yourself what is my mission in life? Try to rephrase the question, take the pressure off, and ask yourself: what am I interested in? What injustices in the world makes my heart ache? What absolutely lights me up or lights the fire under me? This can give you some great hints and answers.

  2. Look at the people around you who you are jealous of—what do they have? what do they do? what are they recognized for? What do you feel jealous of? This can give you an idea of what your soul is actually yearning for.

A note: Jealousy is felt because we feel that something actually belongs to us, and we feel frustrated that we don’t have it. We often criticize the people we are jealous of, to make ourselves feel better about our desires. Instead try to thank those people (just in your mind is okay) for being guides and maps for what you wish for for yourself.

  3. If nothing seems to motivate or interest you, try to imagine your future self. What do you KNOW that you want to accomplish in this life time? Is there anything you could imagine for your future self? (Where are you living? Who are you with? Are you a parent? Do you have a certain lifestyle? Who are your friends with? Etc.) Focus ONLY on moving yourself in that direction. You don’t have to have it all figured out or even have clarity about what exactly your mission is.

A note: What you are doing is that you are moving yourself in the direction of that future self. Keep the image in your mind of your future self, and start making decisions that match up with that person that you will become. The universe will arrange the rest for you. Stay open to receive what comes in. Focus on strengthening your nervous system so you will be able to hold your future self. The stronger your nervous system is quicker you will get there.

The next question that I am often asked is, What is it that is prohibiting me from aligning with and delivering my mission?

Here are my answers to that:

  1. Societal conditioning. We are brought up with a lot of misconceptions around what constitutes a “whole” human being, fx by thinking that we should be good at everything, and have a well rounded education. Or we are told to choose a “safe” occupation, or that we should “be realistic”, and shouldn’t “daydream”. This does not support us in finding and delivering our mission which is about following our intuitive hunches, and feeling secure enough and free enough to explore and pursue what interests us.

  2. Chasing immediate emotional and sensory satisfaction. These can disturb us when we talk about aligning with our mission. Look, it’s not that having desires and fulfilling them is bad. It’s not about being a chiastic robot who feel no emotions or sensual desires. But when we constantly try to immediately satisfy ourself we engage with a chase, that is never ending. When do we truly feel satisfied? Usually it is when we have accomplished something big. This is the satisfaction we want to go for. Sacrifice immediate gratification for playing the long term rewards.

Here are some examples of what that looks like:

—I want to eat chocolate, but I want glowy skin and stable energy more. I won’t eat the chocolate, and satisfy that immediate desire.

—I want to go out with my friends, but I want to get up early to catch the day and do my yoga practice more. I won’t go out tonight.

—I want to have more money, so I said yes to this job but it’s draining me, and now I don’t have as much time to work on my creations.

—I want to work on my creations full time, but I can barely make ends meet. I’m going to sacrifice some of my time to work an extra job, so I can save up and put the money towards properly launching my own business, and I will be able to pay myself out and be comfortable as I launch it.

—I’m not going to go on vacation this year, because I want to focus all my energy on delivering my mission, and I want to save the money so that I can hire my first employee.

Ask yourself: what sacrifices am I willing to make to get where I want to go?

  3. Habits and patterns that doesn’t serve us. Oftentimes we are so deep into a habit that it can be very hard to break out of it, and even the best of intentions far short for the power of the pattern. This is where we need tools that can help us lighten the burden. Plus, when we find what we are really truly passionate about, it usually lights a fire in us that gives us the energy we need in order to break free of the habit. We essentially feel overpowered by the habit or subconscious pattern because we don’t have enough energy in our system, so in order to break out of it, we need to add whatever can give us more energy—really, true, authentic, self created energy; let’s avoid the “3 corporate Cs”: cigarettes, cocaine and coffee(!)

ALIGN WITH THE ENERGY

Life + mission = soul fulfillment (that’s the long lasting everyday kind that isn’t wavered by outside conditions)

Paired with deep subconscious clearing in the form of meditation (kundalini yoga) + strength training (positive psychology), you have a mission map that can take you exactly where you want to go in life. If the desire is true, and you’ve gained that clarity, you will be naturally supported.

Sometimes you aren’t being supported because the mission you think you want isn’t actually based in reality. That’s why you need your intuition to work for you so that you can find the real gem grade mission that your soul is here to make its legacy.

Once you have it, you are able to unlock an infinite energy stream, that sustains you, motivates you and gets you going every day. Effort is needed but once you’re there it becomes very effortless, and you are guided. Add a powerful portal day like the spring equinox and your possibilities are endless.
