THE POWER OF WOMEN. PERIOD.

Today is International Women’s Day. There is so much to say and there is so much I want to, and could say on the subject of women—where to even begin? We’ve come a long way in the last century and decades, in our fight for women’s rights. Still, our world does not operate in a way that is serving women well. That’s why many have made it their mission to claim their space by building their own freedom so that they can structure their lives in a way that serve their needs as women. We simply can’t rely on the structures provided by government, medical establishment (which still primarily research and provide solutions on health for men), or the corporate work environment. From the sides of the establishment, steps are taken but they are small. Change is moving along slow because the people who take decisions are still, primarily male. We cannot keep waiting for the outside world to change. The fastest way to change is by changing ourselves.

The best thing we can do is create our own financial freedom, which has never been more available for women than right now, even for mothers, as the opportunity to work from home or create your own business is very favorable. Voting with our wallet is still to this day one of the best thing we can do, and as women start to have more financial power (again, slowly, but surely) + women are now higher educated on average than men, this seems to be the best course of action.

That is why I believe that one of the most liberating things we can do as women right now is to learn about self sovereignty and prosperity. Creating financial freedom that is independent from our partners or husbands, if they are male—however wonderful and amazing they might be, when we rely financially on them we are making ourselves more vulnerable to have to follow their decisions and rhythms.

I am not about canceling men—at all! The polarity play of the male/female energy is one of the most powerful experiences we can have, and when we know how to make it work and be in conscious relationships, and support each other, we experience a beautiful dance, and deep satisfaction in life. It can be a beautiful union. But humans are selfish, and since men have been in charge for thousands of years now, men have created a society that mainly revolves around and serves them. Even the average man recognizes that this isn’t actually working anymore. As the polarities of earth are shifting, our consciousness and pull towards a more female and Shakti/mother aligned world is opening up. It is a natural shift that is happening within us, and soon it will manifest more clearly on the outside too.

How does the advancement of technology exist alongside our mother centered world? (I say mother as this is the archetype all women carry, regardless if they are mothers in this lifetime or not) This is one of the big questions I am asking myself, and as I see the energy moving towards an infusion of even more Shakti energy on planet earth, my intuitive answer is “no”. The biogenetic agenda will not succeed in implementing artificial wombs, or make us independent of the sustainment of Mother Nature, or cut us off from our need for authentic, in-person human connection.

Women are supported by the universal energy right now. We are moving forward, and towards a women centered world. Not necessarily a women led (matriarchal) but a women focused (matrifocal) world. I am hopeful, but I know that we need to be strategic, focused and independent in order to serve this mission together.

The area of this mission that is calling me the most—and that I am ready to work my a** off for— is women’s right to having the birth that they want. Because one area that is showing way too little progress and where the powers at will still have way too firm a grip on is birth. Too often the mother is set aside, and statements like “as long as the baby is okay, right?” are being thrown around as a way to neglect the experience women have in childbirth. The statistics are absolutely appalling, and even the World Health Organization has stated that we are in a global crisis, and that any rate of cesarean births or inductions should not surpass 15%. We are at about 40-50% in most countries, and that is a rising number. There is absolutely no excuse or need for these procedures to be performed so frequently, except if the agenda is to sabotage women’s birth. That is the only concluding agenda.

As women are getting ahead in the “outside” world, they are still being attacked at the moment when they are most vulnerable—at the birth of their children.

The complacency we are trained to have with authorities (particularly those in white coats), is largely to blame. Only 100 years ago, birth and attending births was still a women’s practice, and it did not take place frequently in a hospital. This practice is very new, and I regard it as a power grab, and one that is going pretty unnoticed by the general public, until we are confronted with it in our own experiences as pregnant women, and partners.

Just like in the beginning of this text I was talking about creating independence, this is the same approach that we need, if we want to reclaim our births. Which means honoring our right to choice, and protecting ourselves from cohesion, and even just fundamentally understand our human and legal rights (which everyday are being transgressed in these medicalized environments). Not only to protect our physical bodies, our babies and our psyche, but also to reclaim childbirth as the immensely powerful rite of passage that it is. I acknowledge that not every women is interested in their birth experience being that, but the majority wants and women are generally left with feelings of innadequewncy and disappointment after their birth, and in (too) many cases with depression, or PTSD.

If we are talking about fighting for our rights and freedom as women, we have to look at the conditions around giving birth, and how it is being used as a means of oppression. At least for me this is where I will put in the work, to deliver my piece of the puzzle.

I believe that it is important for each woman to find the mission that is close to her heart.

We can’t on our own cover all areas but if we find what is calling us the most (a good indicator is what makes you cry with frustration when you think about it, or lights you up to the point that you don’t even consider the energy you have to put out, in order to do the work), we will together cover the grounds, and we have a real opportunity to be in support of the energetic shift.

I see it, I see how women are doing women’s work for women, and it is beautiful to witness. I feel the support and sisterhood. I see and recognize the incredible women around me who are doing their part in providing offers that help to heal the collective feminine. And as long as we don’t get distracted by tearing each other down (another agenda that we should stop buying into, is that women are like that), we can work together to create these shifts.

And what each one of us can do individually is work on becoming masterful women, and skilled at operating our female vehicle that we have been given in this incarnation—and teach our daughters the same. Knowing our feminine superpowers, appreciating ourselves, our qualities and features + connecting with, and open up to our intuition are key components for our personal and collective future as women.
