SUMMER SOLSTICE 2026

On May 12, 2026, we are 40 days out from the Summer Solstice. This is a very powerful time in the year, and a great moment to start a practice—or add to your existing practice.

The solstices and equinoxes are the solar power days in the year, and each one offers a moment we can use for powerful transformation, and to accelerate our growth.

This year to the Summer Solstice we are focusing on the power of prana and the using our breath to clear obstacles and set a rhythmic current in our life. and we will be practicing the Bowing Jaap Sahib—a simple yet very powerful and effective kriya, that enhances your Radiant Body. When the Radiant Body is strong, we feel good, we are uplifted and we feel expansive. Then nothing can bring us down.

Below you will find a suggested guide, for a full practice, with additional yoga sets, mantras and any resources you might need to complete these 40 days of intentional practice.

On the last 11 days before the Summer Solstice, starting on June 11, we will meet daily (from 5.00 - 6.30 CEST) and practice together.

Cat / Cow

The cat / cow posture is great for warming up the spine, and brings a youthful glow to the face. It puts the chakras in balance, and help to clear the mind.

Breath of Fire

The Breath of Fire is a very clearing breath. It energizes and relaxes at the same time, and it helps you develop and stay in rhythm with life.

Doing breath of fire is said to help prolong one’s life. The yogis believes that you are born with a certain amount of breaths, and once they run out, that’s when the pranic body leaves and we die.

Once breath of fire is started it counts as one breath. So if you do breath of fire, fx for 3 minutes, that means you breathed once in 3 minutes.

In this way Breath of Fire can extend our life.

A yoga set

It would be awesome if you could do a yoga set everyday in this window of time. You do not have to do the same yoga set every day.

If you are looking for a shorter consistent practice, you can skip the yoga set (you’re already moving a lot by doing the Bowing Jaap Sahib, and cat / cow).

BUILD UP THE GLANDULAR SYSTEM AND INNER ORGANS (MASTER SET NO 1) — For glandular balance.

CORRECTING NERVE SHALLOWNESS — Strengthens the nervous system and is a good short workout set.

HAR AEROBIC KRIYA — A great cardio workout, and a prosperity practice that balances the aura.

KRIYA FOR ELEVATION — Strengthens the aura, and gently works out the body.

NERVOUS SYSTEM OVERHAUL — Powerful set to strengthens the nervous system and lower body.

STRENGTHEN THE AURA — Works on the upper body to build a strong aura.

STRENGTHENING THE STOMACH — Aids digestion, and strengthens the core.

THE WAKE UP SET — Short set to wake you up and get you going.

Bowing Jaap Sahib

The Bowing Jaap Sahib is a powerful Radiant Body practice that builds confidence and trust.

The repetitive movement of bowing helps us to surrender, and is assisted by the shabad Jaap Sahib, which helps us develop a deeper relationship to God and the Divine.

Bowing Jaap Sahib is a warrior’s practice (the author of Jaap Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh was a great yogi and warrior), and builds stamina, endurance + strengthens the lower body, physically as well as energetically by putting the chakras in balance, and it helps you develop rhythm, and increase sensitivity to energetic currents.

You do not have to know the whole Jaap Sahib in order to practice it (but that could be an intention, and it would reward you a lot, if you learned it). As you continue building your relationship with this practice and the mantras, you will start to pick up on words and get to know it better. Try your best. With these kinds of mantras, it’s more about entering the consciousness of it, that trying to learn it cognitively, or memorize it from a place of logic.

Allow yourself to surrender to your own divinity. You will be carried through (through the practice and through life).

Find the video with the 11 minutes practice and more resources here.

Long Ek Ong Kars (optional)

After practicing the Bowing Jaap Sahib, I like to chant the Long Ek Ong Kars, to bring the energy of this powerful practice into the chakras, and create an even deeper state of elevation and flow.

It’s up to you if you want to practice this meditation. If you have another one that you like or you’re already doing, then you can definitely continue with your practice of that one.

Taking a moment to center yourself in stillness after the vigorous practice of Bowing Jaap Sahib, can be a wonderful way to bring it all together, before you go on with your day.

Jaap Sahib

In the Jaap Sahib Guru Gobind Singh describes facets of God. Moreover, the rhythm and the sound of the mantra itself opens up a new consciousness within the practitioner, which gives courage and absolute victory.

It is a very powerful practice, to daily recite the Jaap Sahib—a true aspiration and great attainment for anyone who does so.

EVENING PRACTICES

If you have the time and the capacity to go all in, in this Summer Solstice window, I suggest you do a short evening practice before bedtime. As previously stated, any of these practices are optional, and you can put together or commit to what works for you.

The Addiction meditation is a powerful practice that adjusts the brain in a way so that we can let go of limiting patterns and destructive habits. Little goes a long way, but if you really want to have a deep clearing of your entire psyche, 11 minutes is the number to hit.

Addiction Meditation
